about black beyond

black beyond is an experimental project, where anti-disciplinary artists imagine alternate realities for blackness. black beyond joined the new museum’s incubator new inc in 2021 to further develop conversations for black alternative contemporary art practice, experimentation and beyond. the following year black beyond partnered with parsons to curate a^3 = b^2, a group show of artists meditating on the concept of the beyond. black beyond is not your typical art collective; we're a boundless collaborative art movement. fusing art and technology, we embrace the weird and unknown to expand cultural norms. our community is a canvas for artists to envision alternative realities, both in the physical and digital worlds. from experimental art to groundbreaking music, we're shaping new narratives of blackness.
